Russian Dancing

Dancing is a well known entertainment among the Russian people. Originally, the dance is an entertainment activity of the commoners. The commoners are the peasants that live in villages outside the fortress. During that time, the feudal aristocrats have nothing to do with the dancing entertainment performance. Several types of Russian dance were devised to bring entertainment to the audience at the royal court. In the 1800 A.D., many theaters start to offer the Russian ballet dancing as part of their show. With the opening of the theatre, the non wealthy people have the opportunity to watch the ballet dance.

The Russian folk dance, also known as Troika is a performance among the community. Troika is a Russian term meaning three horse teams. In the Russian folk dance, the dancers will attempt to imitate the move of a prancing horse while it is pulling a carriage. During the Troika performance, a man will dance along with two women. Sometimes, the trio dance is performed by three girls. In larger performance, several groups of people will dance together with other groups.

Salsa Dancing

The Russian dance, Dancing with Bears, was performed in the year 907 A.D. The dance was performed as a tribute to the victory of Price Oleg over Kiev. At the Gala dinner, sixteen male dancers are dressed in bears. Four real bears that are dressed as dancer also appear at the performance show in the Gala dinner. The bears are captured from the forest to perform at the Gala dinner for Prince Oleg. After the dinner is over, Prince Oleg commanded the people to release the bears into the forest. Later, he brought death sentence on the 16 dancers. Prince Oleg conducted the harsh sentence because he mistaken them as ambassadors from the Severyane tribe. The Severyane tribe had previously owed Prince Oleg for a few hundred marten skins.

Russian Dancing

Petro Preesyadka is another popular Russian dance. Petro Preesyadka is devised by a Christian monk called Nestor. The dance was compiled to pay tribute to the death of Grand Prince of Kiev in 1113. Prince Sviatopolk II Iziaslavich died as a result of a critical disease. After Prince Sviatopolk died, the whole country was turn into turmoil. The residents of Kiev started to loot shops and many people are killed. Petro Preesyadka did not follow the swindlers. Instead, he practiced jumping up every day to release the stress in his legs. One day. Velikiy Kniaz was invited to stop the uproar in the street. While Velikiy is walking on the street, he saw Petro Preesyadka dancing. Later, Petro Preeyadka began to dnace at the Monomakh's Palace during every meal.
